I got higher gearing for my Lowrider (23/48 and FLH 80 (23/47) for the highway but like to keep it under 70 (3000 rpms), little awkward around town, use 2nd a lot. The 22's are OK but you gotta keep the chain tight or it will saw the starter housing up.

I run 24-48 and its great for long highway riding.not the best on side roads.

23-48 on my '81 FLH Dresser, thinkin to change to 23-49 as around town and back roads never get above 3rd and often not even that.
