Idk yet about the stroke I got tied up tonight and didn't get the chance to call CC i am gona try to give him a shout tomorrow and see whats on his mind but more than likely gona go with the 4 1/2 to stay on the safe side. All I can tell you for sure is that after i done some homework on CC's head I'm definetly gona go with the billet, same with the lifter blocks and roller rockers for the evo cam. The billet barrels and a psi carb are on the wish list as well but I haven't decided if I wana put that much into it or not just gona have to wait and see I'm pretty serious about this so who knows what we may come up with.

I'm gonna pay a bit of attention to this thread. Dependablility is the key. I like em powerful but they also gotta be strong. That combo takes a little finese I learned.

Btw - I'm all over fewer and taller gears. That's how I run my 120. Need god torque for that to work though.
10.5
252 evo cam. 630 lift
44mm cv
263cfm @28" and real manifold
and good exhaust with a good tuneup will generally put you about 95hp and 91 tq.

100hp
256 cam
11.25 compression
otherstuff the same.

oh n work the chamber for some swirl

Psi is a great carb, I love mine. Awsome starting usually , will idle usually within about 15 or 20secs with no choke cold . In summer I don't even use it that much. They are the best flowing carbs that I have found and will out flow a super D but have 38mm throttle response.

HOWEVER!!!!!.. they are a cocksucker to tune and get there! Expect a day on the dyno and maybe tweaking the needle! I've had to compromise with a leaner needle to get the cruise and mid range and then grind the needle to bring the top end around.

With my heads you'll need a couple of thunderjets, one won't do. For simplicty to tune the Super G gets the hands down. I can pull one of those in pretty quick. A psi is a whole day affair sometimes lol.

630 lift seems a bit racy to me no? I ran some 635's on my 120 and found it jumpin outta my hands at 2800. I tamed it down to a 600 and grabbed a smooth tourque curve. Streetable? Tourable?

very streetable. 252 just has he slightest lope to the idle.. till you pull on it.

What you need to look at is the duration not the lift. Usually under 252 will pull hard pretty much off idle an come on real hard around 2400. The 256 area pulls the same as the 252 pretty much but pulls another 250rpm higher.

I've done that 96Hp combo for most of my 80s , one fella drives that bike to the mountains on regular basis.. and he beats the bark off that poor thing. 4th summer comingup here and never been into motor since I did it.

I hear that.. that's why I have one. I did back to back testing and the PSI consistently made 5hp and 5tq more on the bottom under 3500 than the G would do.. Up top.. if/when you get it dialed up.. it's maybe 1 or 2hp better than a G

All adds up.. 1 hp here.. 1hp there.

I'll give you a shout tomorrw.

When we put my motor together with the wide veriaty of speed parts on the market, we had to do it 4 times to get it rite, molly this, titanium that, 2 different cams, dialing in the carb, getting the rite plugs making an exhaust system, to me it was just part of the process, I'm not even close to bein the fastest shovel in my neck of the woods, but it was the best I could do with what I had to work with, but the comeraodery & the expereince was priceless, last engine I built for myself was a 102 in pan & that was 1988, I'm just happy to have a bike thats paid for & can keep up with the new H,D,'s on the market today & is some what dependable,
